Overview
Strategic thinking is a key skill of an effective leader. Leaders must be adept at ‘seeing’ themes and trends and envisioning their own, and others ideas to assist them understand potential challenges and opportunities.This forum will offer insights into current leadership research and explore how having an understanding of different perspectives relates to Elected Member leadership effectiveness and enhances strategic thinking.

Rowena McLean, Sector Development Director, LGA and Dr Chia-Yen (Chad) ChiuDr Chia is a published researcher on leadership and has worked both in Australia and overseas. He is a Senior Lecturer at UniSA and takes pride in his approach as a facilitator when it comes to supporting others in learning.
