Overview

The role of Council EA’s and PA’s has evolved from a supporting role to more of a strategic one.
 
CEO’s are leaning more and more on their assistants for critical analysis, strategic counsel and technical expertise. This means there is a greater need for council EA’s and PA’s to grow their existing skills, develop new skills and expand their knowledge and understanding of the sector.
 
This year’s forum is about celebrating the evolving role of council EA’s and PA’s, recognising the new meaning and purpose of this valued role and offering inspiration to grow skills, harness executive focus and enhance positive mind-set.
 
The program is being developed so it is accessible for all council EA’s and PA’s. Participants have two enrolment options:

 

Option 1 - Half day

Participants will attend the morning session (which will include important Local Government updates, a keynote speaker and skills sharing) live via webinar.

 

Option 2 - Full day

Participants will attend the morning session and an afternoon session devoted to skills development.

Volunteer managers and coordinators play a vital leadership role in driving volunteer programs and providing ongoing support to volunteers through these changing and challenging times.
 
The Volunteer Management Forums are designed to offer support to local government staff who work with volunteers by developing their skills, and delivering ‘need to know’ information regarding the sector to support their roles.
