Mayors Forum

Forums

Duration: 4 hours
Investment: $385incl GST
Delivery: Face 2 Face (including a complimentary group check-in after the program)

Target Audience

Mayors

Overview

The theme for this Mayors Forum is 'Lead Through Coaching'.

The time to be conscious of your leadership is now.  Considering the current circumstances facing Councils and communities, now is the time to develop leadership skills that will help you and others build greater resilience.

This session (the first in a series of three sessions designed specifically for Mayors in 2021) is an opportunity to engage in a personal and professional learning experience with other Mayors from across the state.

Because applying new skills takes time, this session offers a complementary group ‘Mayors Coaching Check-in’ (via webinar) just over two weeks post the forum for all participants to help build confidence in applying the newfound skills.

Key Learnings

Coaching is well-recognised as a valuable skill for leaders.  This half-day session will introduce a coaching approach for Mayors to learn:

  • Coaching models and how to apply them in practice;
  • How emotional intelligence and conversational intelligence come together when coaching, whether it’s in the moment or in managing a difficult conversation and
  • How coaching can build inter\interpersonal skills as well as leadership confidence.
