This is an intensive workshop session for Elected Members, CEO's and Senior Executive staff with a focus culture.

This session focuses on creating and developing an organisational environment that is conducive to decisions which are consistently and demonstrably aligned with council objectives and capabilities that maximise the probability of good outcomes.
 
Training Objectives:
- To develop an understanding of how individual and organisational behaviour shapes decision making
- To build skills in supporting an effective decision making culture
- To develop an understanding of the interconnectedness of decision making with a council
- To build outcome focused decision making skills
 
Presenter:
Barbara Chappell is the author of the LGA Community Engagement Handbook and the City of Onkaparinga's Community Engagement Handbook which won the IAP2 Core Values Award for Best Policy Framework 2007.

Barbara is licensed to train the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) Certificate Program and the Emotion, Outrage and Public Engagement course.  She works with Councils and community groups throughout South Australia to raise awareness of community engagement practices.
