Overview

In this final session, the Community Engagement Charter – the document that shapes how community consultation will occur under the PDI Act – will be deconstructed and explained.

 

Facilitator

Stephen Smith, Planning Reform Partner – Local Government Association of South Australia
With over thirty years’ experience as a manager and planner working in both local and regional government, Stephen has undergraduate and post graduate degrees in Planning and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Stephens career has seen him spend 15 years in local government both in the UK and South Australia, during this time he managed the Environmental Services team at Stirling Council and was responsible for putting together the new Development Plan for the Adelaide Hills Council. Stephen is a Fellow of the Planning Institute of Australia and in 2017 was recognised as the South Australian Planner of the Year.
