Responsible council officers - general managers/CEO’s and/or senior governance staff
Overview
This program takes a project management approach to transition Councils pre- and post-election. It aims to assist participants develop effective methods and processes for setting up elected members and new councils for leadership success. Emphasis will be placed on previous exemplary practices that create constructive working relationships between councillors, and between the council and administration.

- Step through approach in scoping an election project
- Engage and interact with others on using an election project template
- Overview of the election related reforms commenced in preparation for managing the election
- Gain insights on good practice approaches to managing election period with CEO and key staff
- Shared learning through facilitated discussion on the nuances and practical experiences of supporting Council in an election year.
