Course Overview:
The aim of this course is to provide participants with the basics of working with journalists and broadcasters.
 
This course will provide participants with an understanding of:
    - what makes positive media coverage
    - what different media (electronic and print) want from you
    - effective strategies to deal with media inquiries
    - basic interview techniques for television, radio and print
    - how to handle "good news" and "bad news" situations.
 
Participants will be provided with comprehensive course notes and supporting materials.

Tricia Karp - Wise Talk

With more than 20 years’ industry experience, Tricia Karp is recognised as an Australian authority on media, presentation skills and powerful presence. She worked as an award-winning prime time TV and radio news presenter, news and current affairs journalist, and voice artist. She spent ten years at the 7 Network, and also worked in commercial and ABC Radio as a news director.

 

Tricia is the founder of the Wise Talk Leadership Communication method, and her company, Wise Talk, delivers training and coaching programs to businesses around Australia. Often referred to as a ‘multimedia miracle worker’, Tricia is also an author and keynote speaker. She’s passionate about helping leaders communicate leadership in high-pressure, high-stakes situations.
