Do you have public health responsibilities in your council? If so, this session will assist you to understand how climate risks will impact public health and how these risks can be minimised. 

Overview:
This session will focus on the benefits to councils of considering climate risk when carrying out public health functions. The session will be based on the information contained in the LGA’s ‘Climate Risk Management:  A guide for local government public health managers in South Australia’, which will be made available to you before the session.
The training session will provide guidance on what the changing climate means for councils, council’s responsibilities, the benefits of managing climate risks, and how public health can be supported and promoted in the face of the increasing climate risk.
