Whether you're talking one-on-one, in a team meeting or presenting in front of an large audience, you want to communicate information and ideas clearly and confidently. The more developed your skills become, the more confident you will feel in a range of different speaking situations.
Much of the nervousness that comes with communicating comes from a fear of the not being able to engage your audience or convey your ideas in the right way for that particular audience. The good news is that with thorough preparation and practice, you can overcome your nervousness and perform exceptionally well in any situation.
This workshop will equip you with techniques to improve your current communications skills. It will set you on the path to becoming an accomplished communicator. You’ll practice applying these new techniques in a range of situations and you’ll learn troubleshooting strategies to help you ‘own the room’ and make the most of every speaking opportunity.
Kate Reynolds, Consultant. Kate has led more than 1200 workshops in the last 20 years as a facilitator or trainer (yes - they're different roles!) and has presented at, participated in or chaired hundreds of different types of meetings. Kate was a Member of the Legislative Council of the SA Parliament and Council Member at the former District Council of Mount Pleasant so she knows her way around a speaking space . She'll share her experiences (the good, the bad and downright ugly) of many different public speaking situations to help you increase your understanding, skills and confidence.
