For: Elected Members, Community Development staff and council staff whose role is to encourage active ageing in their communities.

How well is your community ageing? What does ageing well mean? How can you support residents and staff to age well?

In this forum supported by the Office for Ageing Well, these questions will be discussed. The Honourable Stephen Wade MLC, Minister for Health and Wellbeing will open the forum with the announcement of the recipients of the 2018-19 Age Friendly SA Grants. These formalities will be followed by a series of presentations from a range of organisations that will provide insights and highlight innovations in ‘ageing well’ in local communities both here and interstate.  
Presentations will cover:

  • Well-being
  • Planning and infrastructure
  • Influence

  • Active Ageing Australia
  • University of Adelaide
