Diploma of Local Government Administration (LGA50104) (Asset Management focus)

Cost: $4,350.00 per person + GST (flat rate) 

Dates: 7 Working days on 3 blocks. 
Block 1 -  1 & 2 May 2018 
Block 2 - 13, 14 & 15 June 2018 
Block 3 - 23 & 24 July 2018
 
This nationally recognised qualification enables participants to identify and improve their current asset management skills and knowledge within their roles at council.
 
The course comprises of 7x face-to-face mandatory training days, assessment development and formal presentations. Training days are delivered over 3 blocks; 2 x 2 days and 1 x 3-day block which will be scheduled over a period of 3-4 months.

Ten nationally recognised units of competency are completed within this course and final assessments are required within 3 months of the final training date.

The units of competency are as follows: 

Course Prerequisites:
- A minimum of two years’ full-time employment, working within the Financial, Governance or Engineering Management area or another area of a Council where your responsibilities relate to asset management, or
- A formal degree or diploma qualification in an asset management related field and are now working at council, or
- 2 years’ experience in a similar, related position in the private or government sector.

Phil combines his excellent commercial acumen with interpersonal, leadership and negotiating ability that forges mutually beneficial relationships and outcomes.
Phil is also an experienced trainer.
 
Randall Scott - Senior Asset Management Consultant
Randall’s experience includes development of asset management teams, introducing asset management practices and delivering core and advanced asset management policies, strategies and plans. He has a track record of successfully establishing effective asset systems for the collection, improvement and analysis of asset data and delivering asset revaluations.
