Do you have responsibilities for driving economic development in your council? If so, this session will assist you to understand the opportunities of considering climate risk issues to achieve better economic development outcomes. 

Overview:
This session will focus on the benefits to councils of considering climate risks when planning for economic development outcomes. The session will be based on the information contained in the LGA’s ‘Climate Risk Management: A guide for local government economic development in South Australia’, which will be made available to you before the session.  

The training session will provide guidance on what the changing climate means for councils, council’s responsibilities, the benefits of managing climate risks and how economic development can be supported and promoted in the face of the increasing climate risk.
